Syncologic is pre-launch. The only personal data we collect right now is what you give us when you join the waitlist: your email and the segmentation answers you choose. This page tells you exactly what we keep, why, where, for how long, and how to remove it.
1. What we collect
When you join the waitlist:
- Your email address.
- The segmentation answers you pick (use case, source provider, destination provider, estimated size, transfer frequency, preferred runner, role).
- Your language and the page you joined from.
- A non-reversible hash of your IP address. We use it for rate limiting and never store the original.
- Your browser's user agent and referrer header, used for spam-pattern analysis.
We do not collect names, phone numbers, addresses, or payment details. There is no product to sign in to yet.
2. Why we collect it
Three reasons:
- To email you when Syncologic launches and at significant milestones.
- To validate which use cases and provider pairs people actually want, so we build the right things first.
- To prevent spam and abuse of the waitlist form.
We do not sell, share, or trade the list.
3. Where it lives
Email and segmentation answers live in a Supabase Postgres database with row-level security enabled. Access is limited to a service-role key held only by the Syncologic marketing-site backend.
Email delivery for waitlist confirmations and milestone updates goes through Resend. Resend retains delivery metadata (recipient, timestamp, status) per its own privacy policy.
Rate-limit counters, keyed by your hashed IP, live in Upstash Redis with a short TTL (24 hours).
Pageview counts and aggregate visitor data come from cookieless analytics — no tracking across sites, no per-visitor profile.
Supabase, Resend, and Upstash are based in the United States, where your data is processed.
4. How long we keep it
Until launch plus six months, or until you unsubscribe — whichever comes first.
Hashed-IP rate-limit counters expire automatically (24 hours).
After unsubscribe, your row is marked as removed. We retain the hashed unsubscribe token for 30 days to prevent stale-link abuse, then delete the row entirely.
5. Your rights
You can:
- Ask what we have on you.
- Correct it.
- Have it deleted.
- Have it ported to another service in a portable format.
- Object to specific uses.
Email hello@syncologic.com from the address on the list. We respond within 30 days.
You can also unsubscribe immediately yourself with the link at the bottom of any email we send.
Your consent for email and segmentation processing can be withdrawn at any time. The unsubscribe link in any email we send is the fastest way; emailing hello@syncologic.com works too. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already happened legally before the withdrawal.
6. Voluntary nature and automated decisions
Providing your email and segmentation answers is voluntary. If you do not, you simply do not get added to the waitlist — no other consequence.
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or significant effects on you. The segmentation answers are used only to prioritize what we build, not to make decisions about you individually.
7. Third-party processors
We share the data above with:
- Supabase — database storage
- Resend — email delivery
- Upstash — rate-limit cache
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, advertising trackers, or session-replay tools.
8. Cookies
The site does not set tracking cookies.
